Work Experience

The company

For the mandatory practical internship I got the opportunity to do this at Amsterdam Merchandising, a department of the internationally well known brand I amsterdam.

The Journey

During my time there I've mostly had to work on DTP tasks and creating content for the webshop, so photography was a large part of my work. I was also asked to create designs to place on the brand's merchandise, whereas most of them are available on the I amsterdam webshop.

As an aspiring Creative Designer I had the free space to work on Concept Design propositions for I amsterdam and a few other popular Amsterdam based brands, such as ARTIS Amsterdam Zoo, Rijksmuseum and SAIL Amsterdam. Next to this I also worked on a concept design of my own named Kroost'N Kloffie: a children's clothes, home and accessories line. The word "kroost" means children in 'Bargoens', which is the Amsterdam dialect.
